Maple Class Learning for Wednesday 18th March 2020

Phonics – we are learning to use the ‘o-e’ sound (like in spoke, notebook) by writing our own sentences with ‘o-e’ words. 

Spellings – adding -ing to the end of verbs, and then using the words correctly in a sentence (e.g. I was brushing my teeth). 

Maths – we are looking at finding a quarter of an object, shape or number. 

English – we are writing a letter to Wild (the main character from our story) to tell her about what it is like to live in a village/town. 

Science – draw and write about the weather today. How would you describe it? What is the temperature? What do you need to wear? 

P4C – discuss and debate, would you rather live in a forest or a town? Why? Why not?  

Additional – read school book, practise 4 x tables, play ‘Bond Bubbles’ on Purple Mash (maths section).

Phonics – we are learning to use the ‘ow’ sound (like in window, rainbow) by writing our own sentences with ‘ow’ words. 

Maths – we are looking at finding a third of an object, shape or number. 

English – we are writing a letter to give a character advice. 

RE – we will be finding out about the Jewish festival of Passover. 

Additional – read school book, practise 3 x tables, explore Jewish Faith on Purple Mash (in Topics, celebrations and faith section).
