Greek Food

This afternoon we tried and tasted some Greek food, similar to what they would have had in Ancient Greece! We tried: pitta bread, hummus, feta cheese and Greek yoghurt with honey. Some of us were even brave enough to try an olive!! We noted down our favourite foods and what we liked about them!

SAW Day – Sound

On Thursday 11th We completed a SAW day all about Sound! We investigated cup telephones and how they work and the variables that we use for them. We then wrote down our predictions and the instructions. We then created some ‘soundscapes’ by listening to different pieces of music and drawing what picture we imagined. We created some sound writing using onomatopoeia and drew pictures that represented the sound. We finished off the day by making some musical instruments using different materials including bottles, boxes and lentils!

No Plan Day – Space and Mythical Creatures

In Rowan we completed a No Plan Day all about Space and Mythical Creatures. We designed and created our own mythical creatures, and wrote a story about them. We then used plasticine to create a model of our creatures we created. Some of us chose space and created a double page spread about space, made a Moon phase spinner and then created our own planets using plasticine and described them.
