As part of Science Week, Elm designed and made foil boats to see which would hold the most coins without sinking.

We talked about the forces of gravity and upthrust acting on the objects.

We found that the boats which were long and wide were able to hold the most coins.

In Year 5, we conducted some different experiments and investigations this afternoon for British Science week. We made ice cream in a bag using salt water and ice. Then we looked at yeast and the effect it has on bread and how it makes bread rise.
