The Friends of Gooderstone meet regularly to support the academy in a variety of ways, with a special emphasis on fundraising. Last year, we were thrilled to deliver over £3000 profit for the school; an excellent amount for a small rural school. This year we are aiming higher to help raise even more funds and enhance the children’s learning.

We are thrilled to see parents signing up to become involved in Friends’ activities again this year. From brainstorming ideas for things to do, through to making them happen, members can contribute as they wish, doing activities that they are comfortable they can achieve. No contribution is too small! We also welcome members of the wider community. If you would like to get involved, please do get in touch or come along to one of our termly meetings. You can contact us through the school office (our names are attached to this page), or please come and say hello in the playground.

The school really values the Friends’ hard work and the children really appreciate, and benefit from, the little extras that our fundraising provides. Come along and join us!
