Mundford Church of England Primary Academy

Maple Class

Welcome to Maple Class!

This half-term our theme is: Why is it good to be me?

Maple’s Reading Challenge!

How many of these books have you read already or can you find in your local library? Each time you manage to read one, tick them off and let Miss Brown know!

Mundford Junction

Our last Mundford Junction was all about the ingredients of writing. We spoke about the different things children need to be able to do so that they can write. We played a handwriting version of snakes and ladders, wrote some silly sentences and wrote some short stories. Thank you to everyone who came along to spend the afternoon with us!

P.E Days

Monday: Games with Mr Brotherhood

Thursdays: Forest Schools with Mrs Cross

Homework

Reading: Children should be encouraged to read to an adult regularly, as well as being asked comprehension questions about their reading.

Maths: Play on Story Mode on Numbots at least once a week.

Spellings: These will be sent home and tested (for the children who are able to) on a Monday.

Those children who are less confident should still practice writing the words and forming the letters correctly.

Additional Homework Projects can be found on the class newsletter. These are optional for those who wish to do more at home.
