Mundford Church of England Primary Academy

The PTA

Dear Parents and Carers

On behalf of the PTA we would like to thank you for your continued support of our fundraising events.

Without such generous support we would not be able to supplement the school and enhance the childrens learning and experiences like we do.

So far this year we have managed to fund:

  • The whole school Panto trip and transport
  • The Shakespeare workshops on Federation Day
  • £150 to each class for them to make their own purchases
  • PE T-shirts for the cluster school events
  • Supplementing the Harry Potter trip for all KS2 children

We are aware that you don’t always get visibility of where your money goes but please be assured we have best intentions on where we spend it!

If you have any ideas for fundraising or any ideas on where the money gets spent, please feel free to attend one of our meetings.  These are usually held once a month within school hours.  Details for these and any events cn be found on our facebook page .  Please search for us as Mundford Primary Academy PTA.

Thanks must also go out to all the PTA.  Without them giving up their free time, these events would not happen and fundraising would be hugely difficult.  Your cake baking, shopping, crafting, organising and social skills are much appreciated!

We hope everyone enjoys the festivities over the next couple of weeks and that the children and staff, enjoy their pantomime trip!

Many thanks
Rachel Hall
PTA Chair

The PTA exists to provide extra funds for equipment for the School, raising monies via events throughout the school year.

Every parent is automatically a member of the PTA and that is reinforced with a committee of regular members who meet once a month to discuss ideas of future fundraising events.

We currently have a dozen active members who attend meetings on a regular basis but we always welcome new members!!

Our recent events include a Summer Fayre last July where we raised over £1300 for the School, the “Hall of Stalls” in November which saw over 200 people from the community attend and is already booked again for this year and the Christmas Cake Stall which raised over £280.

We have worked with EACH (the charity for East Anglian Children’s Hospice) collecting unwanted clothes from parents at school and donating them. Our most recent collection raised £200 for the School.

The PTA always welcomes new ideas so feel free to come along to any future meetings or speak to a member of the committee!!
